Moses had a special tent set up just outside the camp where he had private meetings with God. It was during these pivotal times that the Lord disclosed powerful truths to him to share with the nation of Israel. The key to receiving the revelation was making the place of intimate communion with God a priority. Do you meet with God in this way? Pastor Brian will unpack this passage during his message at this Sunday’s 10:45 am worship service. Plan to join us and invite someone to come along, as well.

“Pushing the Envelope in Prayer”— September 25, 2016

We sometimes think of prayer as a last resort, a throwing up of the hands into the air and hoping for the best after all else has failed. But let’s consider what prayer would be like if, instead of a last-ditch effort, it was actually an assertive, “pushing the envelope” kind of request of God. What kind of results would there be? Moses prayed just such a prayer and we can learn much from his efforts. Join us this Sunday at 10:45 am to learn how to tap into this kind of prayer.

The apostle Paul came to the end of his life and communicated to his protégé, Timothy, that he was “longing” for Christ’s appearing. Perhaps it was his age and the fact that he knew the end was near, but this is something that every Christian should cherish. Our world is filled with many pleasures and pursuits that can distract us from our faith. However, the promise of Christ’s return is a pretty big deal. For that reason, Pastor Brian will unwrap this whole “longing” thing and help us to see why it is important. We will segue from this message nicely into the Lord’s Supper, as well. Join us this Sunday at 10:45 am!

It might seem a little unconventional, and maybe even downright cruel, to hear a message about one’s appetite on Thanksgiving Sunday. However, there is much more to appetite than just food, and we must be careful to have ours in check if we want to enjoy a close walk with God. What are those things you just can’t live without? Could you be a slave to your appetite? Join us this Thanksgiving weekend at our 10:45 am service to hear a message that will challenge you. You will be THANKFUL that you came!

“Study to Show Yourself Approved”— October 16, 2016

The apostle Paul told his star pupil in the faith, Timothy, to “study to show yourself approved.” The Christian faith will not seep into our lives through osmosis. WE need to break open our Bibles and really dig into the contents if we are to find the buried treasure contained therein. Timothy was willing to do this and it reaped results in his life. A life that is too cluttered with various pursuits will likely choke out the time needed to study the depths of Scripture. Let Pastor Brian encourage you this Sunday at the 10:45 am service to go deeper with God.

Be Careful, No Casual”— October 23, 2016

There is a trend these days in church life to be casual and comfortable, even when it comes to our approach to God. Although our Heavenly Father indeed wants us to feel comfortable coming to Him, nevertheless we should have a reverence and an awe that precedes our approach. This was the sage advice of King Solomon back in the Old Testament, and that advice is still valid today. Join us this Sunday at our 10:45 am service as Pastor Brian tackles this subject in greater detail.

“Are You Ready for the End?”— October 30, 2016

The Bible states clearly that the day of our death and a day of judgement have been APPointed. That is one app we definitely need in our lives. Join us this Sunday at 10:45 pm to get all the pertinent details. This is not a service to miss! Invite a friend to join you for this timely message from God’s Word.

The early church thrived on its people gathering for prayer. We have nothing to offer our community if we are not in close communion with the living God. Prayer is that vital connection we have with the Saviour. Pastor Lindsay Taylor from Strategic Renewal Canada will be speaking today on how the church can have a “fresh encounter” with God and see His hand at work. Join us for this special service at 10:45 am this Sunday. We will also celebrate the Lord’s Table together.

On this special weekend of Remembrance Day celebrations, it is a good time for the Church to get a good grasp of the true nature of the spiritual battle. The apostle Paul had to remind the church in Corinth that the battle they were waging was spiritual in nature, and not against earthly armies. Issues like depression, anxiety, fear, doubt, etc. are spiritual and need to be fought with spiritual weapons. The battlefield is in a believers mind. Pastor Brian will tackle this vital subject in the 10:45 am service this week, right after our annual Remembrance commemoration. Join us!

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year for sharing and giving, but it can also lead to a bad case of the “gimmies” if we are not careful. The best way to get the attention off of ourselves and what we want is to focus on the genuine needs of others. Helping those in need should be a concern of every Christian all year round, but especially at this time of year. Jesus addressed the right way to reach out to others and we can learn much from His counsel. Join us this Sunday at 10:45 am to get more on this subject. We will also celebrate communion together, a vivid reminder of God’s greatest gift to us!

When the apostle Paul was giving instructions to Timothy about the priority of matters in the church there in Ephesus, he made it very clear — PRAYER FIRST! Why is it that the church can get so involved in all sorts of good ministries, which help a lot of people, yet neglect connecting with the One who ties it all together? Pastor Brian will help us explore why we need to make prayer a priority in the life of the church, and in our personal lives, as well. Join us this Sunday at 10:45 am.

One of the age-old dilemmas in the church has been the confusion over the roles of men and women in church life. That is exactly what we are going to do this Sunday at the 10:45 am worship service. So, before you get your snacks ready for the big game tonight (Super Bowl), why not plan to join us for the service?
